Hi there, I am
I entered the world of front-end development by taking a coding course which taught me the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I used my knowledge of these languages, along with my new skills in VS Codes, to build a landing page which gives a brief overview of the South Downs Way, a popular long-distance trail in the South of England. It features a small quiz using JavaScript (no back-end added).
Learn moreI built a Vanilla JavaScript weather app in SheCodes Plus, an advanced 8-week JavaScript coding workshop. Building upon my previously-gained knowledge, I also became skilled in Bootstrap, APIs, real-life development workflow, hosting, and advanced JavaScript. I combined all of these skills to create a fully-functioning weather app. This app presents real-time weather data incl. forecasts. Its background changes to reflect the current weather.
Learn moreI redesigned the website of Calvary Church Brighton using WordPress. The WordPress theme I used had been developed specifically for churches and Christian charities. I customised it so it would serve the church's needs (colours, photos, elements). Among other things, it features links to the church's YouTube livestream and to the collection of recorded sermons, an Events section and a "pray for us" call-to-action button which takes the visitor to specific prayer requests.
Learn moreI built this Weather App using React and an active API. It is possible to search for the weather of one's current location as well as of a random one. The app uses animated weather icons and can display the weather for the next 5 days.
Learn moreI built this dictionary app using two open-source APIs: the first one to look up the definition, pronunciation and synonyms of a specific word, and the second one to display images related to the same keyword. This app was built using React.
